FM110 An entrepreneurial opportunity exists in Northern Putnam County for the right individual. For the past seven years the Cascade Farm has been serving forty families in a CSA model. It has been developed and worked by a dedicated core group of part-time self-taught farmers.
We seek a professional farmer to take over and expand the farming operation. Someone experienced in clean, sustainable, mixed farming in a similar climate zone; someone who will be tolerant of the proprietary feelings of the core group and current members. We need help developing and implementing a proper and realistic plan for the expanded farm.
FM111 Retiring farm couple on the Herkimer/Oneida county line is offering an opportunity to build equity in our 60 cow tie-stall dairy of 2/3 holsteins, 1/3 colored. We have started "off farm" jobs and are in need of a full-time herdsperson. The right candidate MUST be cow oriented. Once you build equity in the cattle to secure a loan for total herd buy-out, you may choose to leave to a location of choice or make arrangements for a long term lease. At present there is no housing available on the farm however, mutual arrangements could be made.

We are seeking management persons in the areas of Culinary, gardening, animal care, administration including grant writing and curriculum development. Staff works directly with the visiting groups as they participate fully in the everyday running of the farm.
